Social Media Plan

The Facebook page that I would like to create and design is called Southern Utah Adventures. This page is a community page designed to inform the Southern Utah area of activities and daily adventures that one could pursue in their free time. On the page those who like and follow the page will be able to post pictures and comments of their favorite activities in the Southern Utah area to spread the word of all the many beautiful areas that are present here in St. George and the surrounding areas. This page has the potential to reach a large audience of various ages from those who live advanced active lifestyles all the way to your everyday beginner hiker. This page can be used to connect people or groups as well as inform people of what is out there to explore and enjoy. A couple ideas that I have to endorse the page would to have a "hike of the week" hashtag to highlight the unique hikes and areas in Southern Utah to get more people out enjoying all that is out there. People could use this hashtag to show they went out and did that hike and would have the option to post pictures or share experience to promote the hike for others to try. Another idea is to provide weekly news and health goals for followers to view and use to inform themselves of all kinds of information regarding what services are available in the area. Ultimately I would like to see this page to provide information for those who want to connect with others and to be informed of all this area has to offer in all its uniqueness.
